Looking for a place you can belong? Then you have found it here with the Gethsemane Youth Group. Youth from all over the Houston area come here to learn, worship and  hang out together every week. Whether it’s a Bible study, mission work, Sunday school, a youth outing, or weekly fellowship; we are a youth group that knows how to worship and how to reach out and care for our community. We are not your typical neighborhood church: we are diverse, relevant and inclusive.

Starting in Confirmation (7th Grade). We provide an educational and fun experience through our 8-week course, which incorporates Sunday school, field trips, retreat and fellowship. Through the confirmation process our youth learn more about the Church’s history, doctrine, and the basics of Methodism. At the end of confirmation, students are given the opportunity to join as full members of Gethsemane United Methodist Church.

Our junior high ministry (7th-8th grade) focus their Sunday school classes on the Old Testament and the teachings of Jesus. The middle school (9th-10th grade) gains a deeper understanding of Christian history and Methodist doctrine. The entire experience culminates in our Senior High Ministry (11th-12th grade) in which students articulate for themselves their understanding of theology and ethics.
